…followed by the Native American Veterans Honor Guard honoring the brave, the fallen and our ancestors…
…but the Grand Entry continues…
…as dignitaries and performers file into the circle following the honor guard.

As the Powwow has grown in popularity in the public conscience, the dances have evolved and grown in relevance impacting the Powwow and its traditions.
At Pahrump’s Social Powwow, you’ll see many dance styles: Fancy Shawl, Grass (Prairie Grass), Jingle Dress, Women’s & Men’s Traditional, Men’s Chicken Traditional (Prairie Hen), Hoop, Gourd and Aztec as dancers twirl and whirl and fly by competing for prizes:
