I went to the Pahrump Fall Festival parade and car show over the weekend.

The parade stopped traffic for a couple hours. Looked like the whole town turned out for the parade.

But once they opened the roads to traffic, people sauntered over to the car show at the Hwy 160-side of the Petrack Park.

The three-day, five-day and seven-day acu-weather forecast said rain. What rain? Just HOT and sunny.

There were as many kids in the parade as at the parade. It made for a nice atmosphere. And they were handing out candy by the bucket.

A perfectly sane violet Javelin.

A 1923 Ford Model T restoration.
With a small town feel, Pahrump’s Fall Festival car show had a good variety of cars running from classics, hotrods, and rat rods to low-riders, Mopars, resto-mods, and restorations spanning 100 years of manufacturing.

Check out the hooded headlights.

An understated High-Boy dressed in a black suit.

A dope low rider on some serious hydraulics.

An old-school 1923 T-Bucket Ford with dual carbs and blower intakes.

An iconic Shelby Cobra – for sale? Whaaaaaaat?

Customized 1935 Oldsmobile Six 4-Door Touring Sedan (Maybe – not sure?)

1985 Pontiac Grand Prix with striking magenta-indigo-violet paint job and – wait for it – deep purple rims.

1929 Ford Roadster restomod for sale with running boards and rumble seat.

A five-window 1935 Plymouth PJ coupe restomod with unique hood ornament.

A honey of a customized, slightly chopped 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air with wire wheels on BF Goodrich tires and metallic flake paint job.

2007 low-rider Nissan cube minivan in lime green with golden highlights.

Circa 1960’s British Triumph with a Detroit powerplant.

1970 MOPAR Plymouth Duster street-legal quarter-miler on slicks with roll cage.

1960 blue Ford Falcon – all steel – it’s a tank – bust you up!

A cheeried-out eight-cylinder 1964 Ford Mustang pony car with steel reinforced engine compartment and mag wheels – a little bit of heaven.
